Leaving Motherland Behind
What if the woman you love is a foreigner and she cannot come live with you in your home country, and the only choice you have to be with her is moving from your native UK to the USA, for instance. You will go for it if you love her, but you will have to leave your past life behind because changing country or, to be more precise, moving from one continent to another – sounds kinda global, doesn't it? – is a very radical decision and brave sacrifice.
If you sacrifice your Motherland for the person you love, it means that you sacrifice almost all the things we have enumerated all in one for the sake of preserving your relationship safe, sound and completely intact.
Leaving your home country behind means saying good bye to your typical lifestyle and moving to the country which may seem alien at first, let alone that American English with its cocky accent... When you sacrifice your motherland for the sake of your love, it means that you sacrifice your family, your friends, your job, your material stability, possibly even your marriage and children – different things happen, ya know.
Of course, over time your sacrifices will be paid off in every way and sense – when you get used to your new life, find a new job, find a way to communicate with your family on a regular basis etc. – it's all good as long as your love is worth all the enormous sacrifices and stands the test in the long run.
