Sacrificing Personal Success

Imagine the situation: you are a talented singer, your voice is amazingly musical and unusual. You sing for pleasure and don't plan to build a career in show business. However, once upon a time a famous producer from California notices your unusually voice and cool manner of singing, he offers you to move in California with him to live in his huge house near the ocean, and he will make you the number-one star in today's show business.

Maybe you would've considered an offer, however, you have a boyfriend who is about to become your husband – he already gave you a not too bad diamond ring. He's not rich and can't become your producer. Moreover, he is strongly against your moving on with your possible musical career. It's not that career in show business was your all-time cherished dream, it's just that now that you know that you are too close to success, it will be too hard for you to refuse from such a splendid opportunity which floats right into your arms.

But your future husband presented an ultimatum to you – you must choose either him or your future singing career in the Californian dreamy house of your potential producer. Of course, you will most likely sacrifice your professional success for the sake of your love and future marriage with a person you love dearly, and it will be very good if you don't ever regret about it. Show business and marriage are combinable, and ultimatums are not too appropriate ways out here, however, situations are different and often one gotta make a very tough choice and truly sacrifice his or her professional success for love.
